I went down to the beach by my house yesterday. It was the perfect end to a gorgeous weekend, and so relaxing. I just wandered up and down the beach, taking pictures, chasing birds and soaking up the sun. There is such a dichotomy in seagulls – on ground, they bumble and bobble around, and look rather goofy and silly. But when they take flight, they turn into graceful dancers, floating on the wind, flitting back and forth with ease. Watching them reminds me that even if I am bumbly and dorky, I can also have my own moments of grace and beauty.
I brought my iPod with me, too, and just put it on shuffle. Gave me the perfect soundtrack to a sunny, calm afternoon:
